Those textures don't seem to want to show up.

Facts:
I recently installed the newest drivers (9.11) for my ATI Video Card
I tried deleting the game from my Steam games and redownloading the data
This never happened on any previous playthrough

I suspect it is a bug related to drivers, so I'm going to try some older ones... Any other input would be appreciated.

First I'm going to re-install again, this time deleting all leftover folders Steam left behind on deletion.

**** SPOILER ALERT ****
It's been said, I know. You're either OK with the ending or you hate it. Gotcha. After pondering WHY people hate the ending I come up with 2 reasons:

1. You never see "The Vault"

2. Very un-epic

I can see the frustrations with working towards finding the vault, only to find that you only get to see the front door. People seem to want The Vault to be a place littered with chests and goodies. I think they prevented us from going into The Vault, as to not ruin looting. Say you beat the game and you get to go into The Vault and get all of your glorious loot. From the way the game is set up, there's nothing stopping you from just farming The Vault over and over and have a higher chance of finding the best loot, and in much more quantity. Basically amplifying the complaint about the New Haven chests. Even if there was just ONE chest, you could fast travel to The Vault and farm the s*** out of it. Not to mention this leaves so much play room for the sequel. They didn't have it end definitively at ALL.

And as far as it being a weak ending? Well - yeah it kind of was. it was a cliffhanger ending that left you feeling like you didn't do a whole lot. Obviously Borderlands isn't big on story, but I didn't expect it to be. Most games of this nature have a hard time wrapping a decent story around the looting and gameplay. After all, the quest mechanic is very linear and really needs some innovation. But it progresses the game, and I get to loot, shoot, and kill, more.

Overall - BL didn't disappoint me with the ending, because really games like this aren't supposed to have one. PSO had the most ho-hum ending ever yet I played it for years. It was the gameplay, multiplayer, and the loot that really kept me there.

Can someone direct me to a thread or page that explains the actual breakdown APPLICATION of the Class Mod details.
Please note I have searched and found many threads of people speaking about the MOD details but never really explaining anything.

Example: "19% Team Extra Experience". I know what's meant by team, I know what's meant by Experience. What exactly am I gaining and how is it applied. I seen a few threads of people asking about "Grit Skill". The replies mention how you gain provided you have accessed it on your skill tree. I see no mention of the word "GRIT" in my skill tree.

I understand this would be a lot for someone to explain, but if someone could point me to a resource that actually gives this information. I even proudly purchased the book and it does give details about this.

If anybody has any information I would appreciate it.

Hey guys.

I want to illustrate a very valuable, and powerful tactic for Brick that gives him extreme tanking/survival power, even in play 2.5 etc.

Bloodsport.

Now, the general consensus on this skill is that it is lackluster, weak, not enough etc.

That is wrong, it depends how you use it.

First thing to note, is that it stacks.
So every enemy you kill, will add the 10% hp regen.
This with elemental DoT's (from your fists, or first kill*) is really the key.

An example;

5 Crimson lance.

*Shoot the first one, with their elemental weakness (I generally use a fast firing pestilent Crux) so that it is almost dead, and you know the dot's will finish it off.

Leave that enemy, and engage berserk.
The enemy will die, and activate things like Juggernaut, Heavy Handed etc, along with Bloodsport (there is no icon, but there is the 'sound' when it comes on).

Now, proceed to kill the remaining 4 in the same style, just with fists.

Use Sting Like a Bee to fly around Bashing them all.
This will set the daze, and begin the DoT's.

You will now start taking infinitely less damage.
After they are all dazed (should only take one 'go-around' if you have 5/5 in SLaB/Bash) focus on one until it's hp is under 1/4 hp.

Then SLaB on over to the next, and repeat.

By leaving them to die on DoT's you do two things;

1. Ensure a constant stream from Bloodsport
2. Lessen damage received even more, by incapacitating more enemies.

What will happen;

If you are fast enough with this playstyle, you will get efficient at it, and then watch your hp.

You will notice you start stacking the regens to your hp from Bloodsport.
I have noticed my hp filling at least 2x-2.5x faster than the normal Berserk rate in this. Also, if all die at the same time, your hp will skyrocket back to full.

This strat is extremely valuable in play 2.5
And I know the Skirmisher class mod is devastating (my personal fav) but in testing with as much +melee dmg as I could get, using a Berserker mod (+84%), Iron Fist(30%), and heavy handed(+60%) this was absolutely devastating.

misc. note - the +hp% of skirmisher/berserker 5th stats are nice, but I'm also finding the -melee/bullet damages are incredibly good too, esp. the bullet one.

Hope it helps... someone!

Cheers.

I noticed alot of players are complaining about the difficulty lvl, and wanting a difficulty option. I Personally disagree with having the option to change the difficulty of the whole game.. I think that adding a Difficulty option would limit the game from expanding, take away from the RPG element this game offers, and also take away from the Open world feel. GB already has done a good job at making the difficulty suitable for the individual player.

I do however want this game to be harder. Here is my Idea
I think they should add some insanely hard Area's, and mabie have a legendary Item Chest at the end. But keep the rest the same, that way once you go broke from trying to reach the legendary chest, You can fight easier area's to farm, then go at it again.

What would you like to see.

Borderlands is a good game but.. it could have taken more cue's from Hellgate Londer which you could consider a simmlar game albet better made.

Well If you've played HGL, you'll notice some simmlarities between the 2. However I think HGL wins personally due to the 6 classes actually playing diffrently, a weapon mod system, WAY more variety in enemys. More Colorful too. In Borderlands, all the 4 classes bascally just shoot stuff and bascally play the exact same, in HGL there is 2 melee classes (1 tank 1 dps), 2 Mages, a DD mage and a Summoner, and 2 gun users, Marksman and Engineer (Engi has a upgradeable drone/tank, and other bots its a gun using summoner kinda). Not to mention HGL actually has a decent/proper loot system, it also has mutiple active skills per char. Sadly the HGL Servers are gone but its still a OK single player game.

I suspect this will get locked but thought i'd share this anyway. Both are good games, but yeah.. hgl kinda had more meat to it.
