Default help please..cant run HH :(

Ok i had to reinstall my windows and when i reinstalled HH it wont run and it gives me this error,

"A required security module cannot be activated.
This program cannot be executed(6000).

Please have a look at................"

and when i go there it says

"SecuROM™ has determined that a piece of software is hooking SecuROM"

what do i do??

I disabled my firewall but no good, there is no anti virus installed and there was none before either. Everything is the same as before, less stuff than before because of reinstall..

All the drivers are also the same as before

Are you running any kind of DVD emulation software (like Alcohol 120)?

You might want to look at the SecuRom website to see if they have a list of applications that interfere with SecuRom.

Also, try uninstalling and re-installing the game to see if that helps.

Thanks for your reply,i had installed daemon tools this time but before windows reinstall when HH used to run fine i did not have daemon installed. But after unistalling daemon tools and restarting my computer HH still would not run, reinstall of HH did not help either

I thought HH didn't use a DRM...

It does. In a recent BL interview Randy said 'Hell's Highway, wich barely had any DRM, was stolen just after the game was done.'
