I agree with the OP. Leveling happens too fast and the game is too easy (there is no way to set it on "hardcore" mode or even an "expert" setting) for it to be required to farm the best items and pass them down or reuse them, etc. Even the best guns are not that hard to find if you farm chests for a while so...there's no point in having a chest system.

I want a storage chest.

Why? Because 1.) I don't have the off chance of accidentally selling my item, thus having to buy it back.
2.) It will keep your inventory so much more clean. I hate how cluttered it is right now.
3.) The ability to have cross character item exchange *If they allow it*.
4.) You guys *consoles* have split screen to move items over, PC's don't. If we don't want to cheat the system by changing save files, it would be easiest to include a chest to hold our items.

Maybe they could create a vending machine that doesn't renew it's stock and is only stocked with what the player puts in. It costs nothing and gives nothing to put gear in but costs 10% of the item's worth to pull back out, storage costs and all that. Oh, and it can be used by all your characters as in shared. The 10% cost would also stop major twinking.

I think the problem is in the way saving/save storage writing works at the moment. The devs can't even figure out why saves are getting corrupted/blanked during Co-Op (and sometimes during solo) so adding a new layer to the save information: a storage space with various guns, shields, mods, etc. along with their states and abilities would just further complicate the issue at this moment.

Maybe later it could be a possibility, afterall Titan Quest was able to handle having a character specific storage chest along with a shared storage chest but then again TQ was only for PC so that might also play a role here.

Who wants to carry around a bunch of crap, when you could just put it somewhere.

Sounds pretty convenient to me....

i would just like to use those cool legendaries over again on the next play through with other classes and a cross character storage would be more convenient and quicker.

I'm full with my inventory at all times.
I like to collect legendary weapons for friends and I'm still always full.

Its just nice to keep guns that you are going to give to friends/alts, as well as to store weapons that are funny/cool/memorable.

I don't see the point in a storage chest.

The main thing you would store would be guns, but new guns are dropping all the time. I don't care about a gun I had 20 levels ago. What if I had stored it? Im not going to use it again. Giving it to a friend maybe? Let them get their own guns !!

I understand it in games like WoW, where there are rare armour sets that you can collect and then auction, but this game is nothing like WoW.
