Still, both players gain trophies, etc. It probably signs into some sort of proxy profile thinga-majig. If it isn't the exact same thing as signing into another profile, it's close enough. If the network registers that the other person has met the proper requirements to gain trophy xyz, then it is A-OK with me.

Actually, as far as I know, no game on the PS3 has allowed more than one player to earn Trophies simultaneously as of yet. The second player can work on his/her characters and progress in games such as LittleBigPlanet, Sacred 2 and Resistance 2, but only Player 1, who is actually logged into the PSN, earns any Trophies during play.

Thanks a lot Parnic for the information. I really hope for this to work out. I also wouldn't thing people would mind for the trophies. Playing together is fun with each of are saves since I don't want my brother to unlock trophies for me while I'm not playing with him.

Playing on the same profile wouldn't be quite so game breaking if....

You could have seperate control schemes!

I play inverted, and my brother doesn't. And it allows for only one control scheme.

Please fix this!

This is a flat out lie. Resistance 2 and Little big Planet both allow multiple sign-ins.

Wanna try to explain again?

That's actually correct. The PS3's operating system does not allow for multiple sign-ins -- Just try to log into more than one PSN ID while you're at the XMB. Resistance 2 and LittleBigPlanet were programmed to have this functionality within those games only, they weren't meant to modify the OS.

The reason people are asking for this to happen with Borderlands is because we've seen that it is in fact possible to program it into a game, as you've pointed out.

ok, me and my brothers, key word there my friends brothers more the 2 brothers in one house. and we all play the same system and want to us our own characters. and yes we all kn and have all read that it can be done with all these games we keep bringing up in this forum.

but why not this one.

i have waited patiently past the October 30 patch-update (which we bought the game the day after) and still nothing. and now ive stumbled on to this oh so information giving forum with all the answers and have been reading this forum as a guest for about a week and a half now, todays my first post,

all i want are some answers, not we are fixing it, my point is why do u guys feel the need to short end the ps3 owners, we pay very good money for our games and our systems and all you companies keep giving us are broken games at the release date (count the number of broken games we have and compare them to the xbox). why do the xbox owners not feel the hurt, all their games come out first, all dlc is exclusive for awhile, and now we cant even pretend to be on our profile like u guys say it is on the ps3 and just play with our characters instead of using a whole new one.

oh wait, are u guys saying it could be done if u get a memory stick put your character on there and copy it on to the persons profile you want to play with then bring back to your profile when done, it just requires a bit of work right its all on the players.

well i did that and all it did was erases my friends character, now in my books thats not playing co-op is it. look most of us don't want to get the whole trophies and everything, we just want to load our own profiles saved characters and use them on other profile even on the same system. and we both kn it can be done so stop ignoring us its only going to hurt u not us, u don't think there going to be another game developer to just rip your idea off and put it all in there for us pffftttttaaaawwwwwwhhahaaaaaaaa think again this concept is going to get eaten up like yesterdays Chinese food. if you want ppl buying your game and not burning it cause we all kn it can be done fix this little problem and stop ripping us off, ple4ase stop leaving little stuff like this out of the games cause for some reason sitting at home on the couch with 4 friends taking turns to play the game each on their own profiles doesn't exist anymore, lets just tell everyone the new 2 player is going online and playing with some guys way over there that u cant see. not a bad concept its just ppl still have friends and like to play these co-op games to
