The Hall of the CL4P-TP
Dance Hall - A large area, decked out like a post-apocalyptic night club (I'm thinking 80's decor), where the claptrap's meet at night to show off their dance moves. This would probably be either a reward after finishing the last play through (3, I think, but I'm not sure), or it gets "better" after each play through: 1st time, you can only see from one angle, at a distance (think from the first New-U to the gate of Fyrestone). Second Time, 2 angles, closer (about half of previous). 3rd, you get to walk around the club, but you can't actually walk on to the dance floor. or Hall of the CL4P-TP-K1G The second idea is basically the Cow level from Diablo 2. For those of you who don't know what I mean, after each play through, there is a secret entrance that lets you go to a level filled with various types of claptraps, all trying to kill you. You get better experience, but maybe not weapons. It should be modeled as an under ground city, somewhat like Moria from Lord of the Rings. As far as different levels of claptraps, obviously the weakest one is the normal one. Other than that, there should be: Speed Freak: candy apple red, double wheeled, claptrap who drives around faster than a boosting outrunner. Sniper: duh. Regular sized, painted white so he stands out against the darker background. Tank: About the size of a Alpha skag, he is a 6 wheeled, camo painted tank. He carries around a large rocket launcher and a mortar (the mortar fires MIRV shells that explode near 20 feet off the ground). CL4P-5MSH (aka clap smash): Really oversized version, probably the size of skagzilla. They drive around, trying to run over the player, or smash them with their man sized hands. K1G-CL4P: The boss clap. Oddly enough, he is the same size as the small claptraps, only he rides a throne carried by four regular claptraps. His thrown also doubles as a minigun turret. The turret is basically like the turret on the warthog in halo (not like the scorpio, or the ones on the outrunners, I mean a REAL minigun turret, the kind that has decent range and actually fires fast). If you have additional features, enemies, or better names for the enemies (naming things is not my strong suit), feel free to add on. Also, I second the various ideas to add in more NPCs. Don't really need to have stories or anything, but they should have a schedule, such as in Fallout 3. Borderlands, as a whole, feels dead. I know it's a waste land, but where are all these people who put stuff on the job boards? Why don't people actually wander around Fyrestone? What would happen if those stupid bandits from bonehead's post right next to town followed me there, and I used the New-U to teleport somewhere else? Shouldn't townsfolk be there to defend their turf? Also, traffic between settlements (once they're open). Last edited by TheDFO; November 6th, 2009 at 07:53 PM. |
