Default BSOD borderlands

I have been playing borderlands for about 2 weeks now and have finished playthrough 2 on my first characture all running fine, the other day i installed patch 1.3 and the zombie DLC and still everything ran fine, but now i want to make a new characture and when i click on single player then "new characture" i get a bcod saying "IRQL_is_not_less_or_equal". Any help would be appreciated =]

Does the BSOD happen on any other games or programs since you started experiencing it?

Because It's usually a hardware problem.
I know I receive that BSOD if my RAM isn't working right or set up properly in the BIOS.

Anyway, just pulling out what I know.

wait..all the other games play fine now, the only thing wrong is when i try to create a new characture on borderlands it crashed to the BCOD, i might try re-installing it without the dlc an patch an c if that works, wat patch is the basic requirement for the DLC anyway? thanks

Sorry, I didn't notice that your original post said you had installed the 1.3 patch.

Are you overclocking the CPU or GPU? If so, try not overclocking to see if that helps.

Also, make sure you have the latest driver for your video card.
