Lets just say I was just installing a game on my computer, downloading a movie and playing borderlands on onlive without a so much as a stutter.

Hmmmmmmmm
Borderlands on PC with superior graphics and no chance of not being able to play because my internet goes to crap, or pay for another copy of Borderlands that I can only access as long as OnLive decides it's worth having that game, or as long as OnLive is still in business? |

Even though onlive is probably not for me, I'm certainly glad it exists and I hope it does exceedingly well. Right now, PC Gaming is a dying market...Games are easily pirated, sell for less than their console counterparts, and the investment into hardware is too much for casual gamers. Onlive changes all of that, and anything that keeps PC Gaming relevant is good for all of us.

There are three problems I have with OnLive.
1: They said there would be -no- input lag. There is clearly input lag. We all knew (barring a few idiots) this would happen, so what's the big deal? Lies are bad, mmkay? 2: When they go down, how will you enjoy your game? You wont. 3: When your net craps out for the night, how will you enjoy your game? You wont. Not to mention that you're throwing the baby out with the bathwater when it comes to modded content.

Onlive isn't a solution to end all, it's another venue. Of course they will have a few downsides which is why things like Steam and CDs won't die out just yet. Although, they are still only in their infancy and I'm sure they could adapt the games any way they'd like, IE upload a multiplayer mod gametype, have dedicated gaming servers(lol) for modding applications for creation, etc.
