The 10.7 drivers do not stop the memory leak.

The memory leak seems random. It occasionally gets cleaned up allowing us to continue playing. I was also running with fraps, and no I am not going to accept running without it as a solution. I would like to point out that it seems like the save process has started every single time this happens to me. Last edited by shockertwin; July 28th, 2010 at 12:50 PM. |

I had freeze with a CFX of HD4850 under Win 7 x64, but after some (looong) tests think i found something stable, i played all the week and 4 hours straight without a single freeze, I tried:
I think the key lies in CFX profiles, the CFX profiles 10.6 seems to correct the freezing behavior (at least for me) while 10.7 (and some earlier versions found at rage3D for example) reintroduce it. So all you need is: Catalyst 10.5a (great if you're playing Bad company 2 too), maybe 10.5 if this one isn't working with your HD5xxx card. And Catalyst application profile 10.6 (make sure to desinstall all previous profiles). Hope it'll do it for you too~ Update: Cat 10.5a + CFX profile 10.6 = freeze too...
