I/WE the customers were advertised a killer 4-player online co-op game! So far we get half-complete game (NO online since public and private games don't work at all). If co-op wasn't such a major feature advertised on the box I/we wouldn't be so angry and disrespectful! But when you let such crippling errors and bugs slip through on the games major mechanic, its begs the question is that do you respect us Playstation 3 owners? First Impressions are lasting impressions Please don't blame it on the system or the PSN, when other popular unreal engine games run real fine/smooth (Unreal Tournament 3, BiA: Hells Highway, Batman Arkham Asylum) I will think twice before buying another product from Gearbox Last edited by kmg90; October 21st, 2009 at 10:59 AM. |

Absolutely untrue. Our developers read the forum, and programmer Vatoloco has even posted in this very thread. Please remember that if you aren't discussing a fix, posting your issue, or adding your name to those with this issue, your post in this thread will be warned.

Unlike many of the posts here I am only slightly upset. I played solo from 10pm till 6am last night, I got that loot-lust!
My issue is probably like everyone else's. I try to make a private game and I'm told (my?) status is 'offline.' I'm certainly not offline. I'm very much logged into the PSN. Also the buttons to invite a friend or join (X and, ah, Square I believe) are simply 'greyed-out.' I can't even press those buttons, it just isn't even an option. At first I thought, 'Oh, ok, I need to make a character, duh.' I did that. 'Ah, ok, I need to get through the tutorial and actually be on my own.' An hour later I'd done that and some missions to make sure I was fully 'on my own.' 'Ok... what's going on.' My roommate and I reset our router, the PS3, the game, everything we could think of. Off, on, reset, disc out, disc in, unplug, replug. We did it all. Nope, nothing worked, still those options remained grey. I've tried to join a public game and when I do so the game just freezes. As soon as I saw the game loading up and it said, "Powered by GameSpy" and sighed and said, 'Oh nooo...' So I wasn't at all surprised something happened. My experience with 'GameSpy powered' games has been nothing short of AWFUL. I'll just keep playing solo though... But yeah, all respect meant it is pretty disappointing for this game to have been advertised as this super co-op game and I can't even play co-op... that's pretty sad. How on earth did this ever go gold like this? PSN ID (JPN account, not that I think it would matter) Friedhamster PSN ID (USA account) WarlordLono Both have these issues. (I'd thought it might have been just my JPN account, it isn't.) Last edited by Friedhamster; October 21st, 2009 at 11:07 AM. Reason: Added PSN IDs and added detail |

This sucks...it is a very lonely world playing single player...
I cannot even access any options to Invite a friend. It says (my?) Microphone is off and that the status is "offline" I have about 10 friends playing the game. Also I am experiencing the same lag on trying to join a public game, only to be kicked out of every room I try and enter. |

Update on the North American PS3 Friends Interface issue:
We've identified the problem and are working on a fix. Believe it or not, the friends feature was heavily tested by Gearbox and 2K. However, this particular issue we found could have never manifested itself in our or 2K's test environments. We値l find out very soon if the issue exists for the PS3 International versions of the Borderlands. If it does, we値l hopefully have a fix implemented before it affects those customers. We are doing everything we can to get this problem addressed as quickly as possible. Thanks to everybody who provided us with tons of information.

No, I'm thinking it's GameSpy. I'm telling you... everygame, every. single. game. I have ever played that was 'powered' by them has had some kind of MASSIVE problem. I so so so hope BioShock 2 isn't going to be GameSpy powered...
