I have made your post the new Release Date Speculation thread Pulser.

Please post ALL unofficial release dates and speculation about release dates in this thread. Thanks.

Also here are a couple of relevant quotes from Gearbox:-

Well, regardless of reviews, it sold. Whether Sega’s tactics paid off or Aliens fans will buy pretty much anything with Aliens on the box, I dunno. It shows the brand(s) strength though. So if GBX can make Sega a humdinger of a pure Aliens game, dropping the weaker link (no offence Mr Predator ), and recreating the awesomeness of the best of the movies, then it has the potential to become one the strongest new FPS franchises out there, IMO.

I think fans and gamers will show more support for this game than AvP and I think sales numbers will show that. Gamers are familiar with Gearbox and their track record, match that will a marketing campaign from Sega, equal or greater than that of AvP and you have another successful game based on the alien franchise.

Anyone who relies on game retailers/websites for release dates (instead of relying on a developer/publisher press release) is setting themselves up for disappointment.

Hey botman, can you convert Q4 2010 into VALVe time?
Even that's more reliable

Publisher sets the release date - not the retailer or online sales outlets.

You can bet when SEGA does announce a release date, it will be posted on every good gaming News site. You won't have to desperately rely on obscure snippets of unconfirmed News from dubious sources.

SEGA will announce when SEGA is ready...

Well this is probably the best thing to look at,

Quote:
"What I would say is it's unlikely that we'd launch anything within six months [after Aliens vs. Predator], but probably nine months, eight to 12 months possibly. Though we literally are looking at that at the moment and a lot of is going to depend, as well, on how successful AvP is at the box [retail]."
