Default Gearbox > Valve

Valve is a PC based software company with console support. Borderlands is a Console Geared gaming company and they can have all of my money. Thank you Gearbox for helping me spend my money. Just finished Knoxx DLC 100% tonight! 1500/1500

Actually, most of Gearbox's games were made for PCs.

But, all developers are making games for consoles now as Publishers make easy money off of those, and for "piracy."

I would have more to say, but it would be taken the wrong way and it would start a platform war.

Suffice to say, Gearbox does a fantastic job with all platforms, whether PC or Console.

Oh, and btw

Gearbox < Valve (but only slightly. )

Gearbox is a PC Geared gaming company with lots of Console gaming support. Valve is a PC based software company with some console support and they can have all my money. Thank you Valve for helping me spend my money. Just finished HL2, Ep1, Ep2 , and Portal with 100% achievements tonight...

this is a flame war in disguise. I like both dev teams a lot, but being a pc gamer Valve wins for me as their games are great. Borderlands was a consoled geared and for that gearbox loses points from me. More optimization for the PC would have been nice (mainly menu interface / FoV). Valve's source engine is an evolving gaming platform that allows for great editing and tweaking of engine for new mods and better controls. Gearbox has yet to make their own engine that I am in love with. However, they created a game I love.

Apples and oranges though. Some people prefer apples and others oranges

My Orange Box still sucks. I want TF2 updates on 360, but that will never happen even after they promised updates over 2 years ago. So yes Gearbox > Valve. I uninstalled Steam and Installed Borderlands to my 360 (mainly because it made a loud whirling noise, only game that does it)! I can't wait for more Borderlands DLC, must have!

Lol flame war in disguise.... I actually love everything Half-Life!

Borderlands Forums Users > Bioware Forums Users.

Actually Bioware Forums Users are bitches and cry babies and defend DLC Xpac of $40 to the teeth. Once one company charges $40 for DLC they all will. That is so sad!

Guess who won't let valve give free dlc to it's fans on consoles? Just guess, starts with a big M. That's why they intend to wait till all the class updates have been issued to ship dlc to the 360, so that doesnt cost as much for fans.

But you prefer Gearbox and that is your opinion, good for you. I prefer Valve, good for me.

i definitely prefer valve because i'm on a pc and they have done so much for pc players. their games are excellent and if they aren't to start, they fix it fast and usually add to it for free. in my opinion they set the bar for shooters.
