Default Spoiled by Ammo Regen

After playing for so long with it, Ammo Regeneration is something that I can't go without. It's more than a convenience for me- it's a necessity. The last thing I want to have to worry about as I'm tearing baddies apart is picking up ammo drops or hitting up ammo chests. And I definitely don't want to be bothered with visiting ammo vendors.

I'm primarily a Siren player and I do the bulk of my playing solo. I love SMGs, particularly those with very high rate of fire. Aside from some tooling around with a Firefly build, I spend all of my time using a Merc mod for the Ammo Regen. I'd love to play with some other class mods- be it my 660 Specter (sadly, the 5th mod is not regen), a Tempest, or maybe a Merc with elemental effect chance- but I can't get by without Ammo Regen.

I also run a Hunter who spends his time with a Gunslinger mod (with Ammo Regen) or with a Ranger mod and an Equalizer Masher. Again, I'm limiting myself to builds that have Ammo Regen.

I occasionally play a Soldier that either goes Commando or Rifleman, again utilizing COMs with Ammo Regen instead of extra damage. I HATE the turret to Support Gunner is a waste.

Brick is the character I've played least. Mine is currently sitting at level 50 as a Skirmisher- a build I enjoyed because it allows for almost continual Berserk. Weapons were barely used at all and ammo was never an issue. I've tried playing through the Knoxx DLC as a Skirmisher but it's been a struggle to even clear out the first roadblock- Drones and Jetpack Lance make Berserk worthless and I'm getting downed so much that I'm always running out of ammo. Maybe I'll eventually find an Ogre mod with Shotgun Ammo Regen and rock shotguns. I know that Blast Master is a popular build but, again, ammo is always an issue.

Does anyone else suffer from Ammo Regen dependency?

I agree.
I've been running with a support gunner in the party for so long now ammo doesn't even cross my mind.

Me too, until I'm flying solo, and run out in the middle of a fire fight lol.

Never ever really used ammo regeneration on my mordecai, not until i started going nuts with a gunslinger build where i pretty much only used revolvers.

When i then played my Lilith and got hold of a anarchy... Ammo regeneration became a must. Example is the first 2 times i killed Craw i had like 12 and 42 rounds left, and the third time i ran out of SMG ammo and had to use a sniper to finish him off.

By now i can obviously do it with less, but i have no need since i just love my SMG ammo regeneration <3

I too am spoiled, it's one more reason why I love Tediore.

An example how dependent of Roland's ammo regen my friends and I are, one day when our Roland player wanted to play Bad Company 2 we pestered him to join us. He asked why we needed him, and we flat out said ammo regen, he declined, we continued to pester him until we were just saying ammo, then out of nowhere one of use said it like a Zombie does Brains, which in turn caused all of use to say it like that.

It was a very hilarious moment.

I generally don't worry about ammo. Very, very rarely.

When I do, I just swap to a Savior and an Ammo regen COM. A minute later, I'm full, and I swap back to my normal Hellfire & Tormentor COM.

Why do so many people decline to swap weapons & COMs? Is it *that* difficult on a console? (PC for me).

I swap shields, COMs, grenades, and weapons based on the situation at hand, at a moment's notice. Midget riding a Bad Ass Fire Skag? Fire shield, Plaguebearer COM, Vitriolic Bitch. Skag is dead, now fighting the midget BadAss, swap to Panacea, Firefly and Hellfire.

I am a solider. I too was spoiled by Support Gunner, and really missed my heavy gunner build, but I found a solution. Supply drop. 3 Points in it and 5 points into the skill that allows me to re-deploy my turret faster is MORE than enough ammo, to the point I am still almost always capped. Solider's who always run support gunner: try a supply drop build with heavy gunner, I didn't think this would be effective or efficient, but it FAR exceeds the output/capabilites of support gunner (unless the party is desperatley in need of ammo)

I don't see the point of ammo regen. Ammo vendors are practically everywhere and there always enough drops and ammo boxes to get me to the next one.
Of course I also like to keep a variety of weapons equipped, so I'm not using the same ammo for everything I kill.
