Default Did Borderlands cure your Warcraft addiction?

I'm curious how many of the forum members picked up BL because they love FPSs, co-op games, RPGs or maybe had a lot of WoW hours behind them. I personally played FPS a bit, mostly COD and Left4Dead, and played through Fallout 3/& dlc once and Mass Effect twice. But at the same time I was playing all these games I would consistently put in hours playing WoW, doing dailies and raids. But since I got into BL I have dumped WoW entirely. I get my loot fix on Pandora and have no intentions of going back to Azeroth. TY GBX!!

I got bored with WOW before The Burning Crusade came out.

I'm no fan of raiding and rerolling is boring... and WOW pvp stinks...

I also dislike raiding and pvp but leveled all 10 classes to 80. Borderlands definitely curbed my appetite for WoW, I dunno about cured it. Although, I haven't played WoW in about 2 weeks.

Knoxx is still new enough to me that I'm having fun playing it with all my characters still. When the newness wears off and the boredom sets in, we'll see if the WoW needle starts beckoning again. For now I have no urges to play it.

All 10 to 80? I don't play WoW but that seems like it would take about half of my life...

You have no idea how fast it is to get to 80 now a-days on WoW. I'm glad I quit a month after BC.

Uh... No, I don't. Can you give me like a playtime estimate?

Originally, before any expansions (when lvl cap was 60) took me about 15 days of in-game time. Mostly cause I messed around, pvp'd, explored etc. First expansion (lvl 70) took me about 7 days /played per character to reach cap. Now it takes about 5-10 days to lvl 80 depending on how you level. With recruit-a-friend bonus xp (which I never did) potentially less.

Of course I played a lot of them after level cap too. My main has over 73 days /played. Over all I have 281 days /played on the characters I have at 80.

I actually started leveling all the classes again because all my 80s are on Horde side so I figured I'd level them up on alliance side too but that's when General Knoxx came out and the Borderlands bug bit me again. Since this post is dangerously off-topic, I'll just say that playing Borderlands with my brother recently has really made me forget about WoW.

Also, I too am a big fan of good FPS's and RPG's. I think Borderlands is a good melding of the two. It's got just the right amount of both. I just wish the game was even bigger and more engrossing than it already is but it's a great value considering how much there is with no monthly fee.

I quit WoW in Feb 09 and got a 360. Got Borderlands Xmas 09 and it has brought back my 'glory days' of warcraft and halo 3.

Got to 80 on WoW and due to lag, unable to find people to pve and hate of pvp i quit.
