Color blind gamers whine here!!!

I have a confession. I'm color blind. (Bear with me, because it is gear related!) It makes some things in this game really difficult.

Most notably, differentiating "yellow" and "medium orange" loot from greens and "money yellow".

Now, with a "true pearlescent" (which appears to me on pics posted here as "off white"), it makes it even harder to distinguish the "good stuff" from plain old weak-t!t whites, unless they are directly next to each other, and I have yet to (knowingly) see a pearlescent item in game so I don't know what to look for quickly. (I asked my wife and kids to look at pics posted, and they confirm that pearlescent stuff appears as a "different blue", just not to me)...

A different side of the same coin, however is being color blind (for me) actually helps in some situations, such as the Eridian Peninsula, where the "Seras" literally POP from the background, making them easier to target. Same for some other stuff as well. Some stuff just stands out more.

So, anybody else suffering from this malady? And no, this isn't a "GBX should FIX the color system to deal with my handicap!" thread, I'm just curious to see who else might have similar issues...

Depending on who you listen to, up to 10-12 percent of males are color blind to some degree (even if they don't know it), so I know I'm not the only one...

if it helps, i'm not color blind and i still confuse legendary drops and money. that's why i always check everything. i've nearly passed up legendaries, even if sucky ones that i'll just sell, because i thought it was money and was like "aw, **** it" (but eventually picked it up and was like ZOMG IT'S A HELLFIRE!)

one thing that helps me is if you point at the loot light it shows an icon of what it is. so if it's a yellow SMG, then you know it's not money (yellow dollar sign).

Ohh, I've got it worked around in single player, as I can take all the time I need, but multiplayer is a beeotch!

My dad was bad colorblind, he would play Tetris 3 on NES and would confuse all the colors and mess up. Game related, the only place I had trouble telling things a part was in Lockdown Palace, it seems all the colors are darkened; I'm only a little color blind though.
