If you use the correct disk ie not a *cough* copy (for back up of course) you should not get this error.

Same drive here and, lo and behold, the very same error message. I have updated the Samsung Drivers and disabled my burning software (fancy that, the heresy of having burning software on a CDRW/DVD drive !)...but still no joy.
Let's make a mass refund claim ....the penny will drop and it will stop developers treating us like lab rats.

Have you all submitted a support request to UBI? http://www.ubi.com/us/support/default.aspx Tell them your dvd drive info and they may have a suggestion. They are the ones who put SafeDisk on the game disk. Not GearBox. Try it. It may not be immediate response but what will it hurt? Can you post your DVD drive info here. Maybe someone can help here as well. I hope you get it fixed soon.

Also, search Google on your dive mfg and model + safedisk to see what anyone is saying,

Just a concerned consumer who can play the game but feels for those who can not.

Thanks for the concern Killa, and the advice, my CDRW/DVD drive details are exactly the same as Orthodoxy's, namely:

Model: SAMSUNG CDRW/DVD SM-308B Combo
Driver: c:\windows\system32\drivers\cdrom.sys, 5.01.2600.2180 (English), Samsung t-101.

It's never been a problem before and I buy games very regularly (2 a week at least). Ho hum.

Exclamation Re: ~df394b.tmp

I have the exact same drive, and the exact same error. I am positive that it is an incompatibility with this Samsung CDRW/DVD, because the error occurs as soon as the executable seeks the DVD drive (probably to verify the key, or for the copy protection mechanism). Has there been any effort to resolve this issue? If not, then I would like to get a refund please - how do I go about doing that?

ronnieharper2000@netscape.net

by the way, this IS a stock Dell drive (Samsung SM-308B T100(or 101)). It was shipped in this Optiplex GX280 I snagged from work.
