Default Deathmatch...

Here's some screen shots of something that I've been working on as a personal project during my spare time (what little there is of it) during the last month or so...
Bullet: Click Me
zzDeathmatch

It uses modified multiplayer maps from the retail game and allows up to 16 players (you can probably run more than 16 but I haven't done any bandwidth tests on a large number of players)...

The server browser is modified slightly to show ping time and allows you to see full servers or empty servers (to support dedicated servers running a mod)...

I hope to release the first BETA version at the same time (or very shortly after) the BiA SDK is released to the public.

I'll also be setting up a zzDeathmatch website at some point in the next week to make downloads available along with more details about what is coming in the future.

EDIT: Oppps. Forgot to mention that I will be releasing all of the source code required to create this mod along with documentation describing how the GUI was modified, how the server browser needs to be modified to support mods (so that you only browse for your mod and not the retail game), how to modify the map displayed in the menu (along with changing the sound that plays in the menus), and providing a sample Nullsoft installer script that allows you to build and professional installer that allows people to install and uninstall your mod.

Cool Botman! I just got to get the PC version of BIA now and I can play it. How long did it take you to make that? Anyhow looks great!

Holy crap... that's incredible. Anyone here who would be willing to teach me how to mod BiA?

If you do Botman I'll be honored =)

Sweet...

I'm guessing there will be no Fire teams etc, just you...

Will there be modifications to this such as TDM later?

Photon, there is a ton of documentation coming that is BIA-specific, not to mention the vast Unreal Developers Network that is at your finger tips. On top of that, UnrealEd is one of the easiest to learn editors on the planet. Modding things might be a little more difficult, but you'll get through.

As far as I know, there is also an SDK site going up under the gearboxsoftware.com domain. That should have some useful info as well.

Nice to see the deathmatch nearly done Botman

But Botman, how can there be empty servers when all servers run through our computers? Thats kind of odd!!!

Some rich ppl with unimaginable good connections can make a server and leave it running, but not play in it (im guessing). I have seen it loads on other games, so im guessing its the same with this...
