In bia 1&2 its always only 2 germans at a time dont u guys think they should add a little bit of call of duty to BIA so its not always move here, shoot there thing.

Yeah I really like COD's very intense battles with at times hundreds of soldiers at a time. I think that the 4 F's do get repetitive at times. But that is what the game is based off of.

I don't care much for CoD's wave after wave. I agree it's high energy but it, isn't WWII re-enactment style of play like BiA is. But on the other hand, I would like to see the German Bots take the offensive, and charge my position more, that is more surprise offensives on the part of the German Bots. They seem to advance only so far, like there is an imaginary line that they won't cross. They move left to right. but only move forward slightly.
I'm sure this will come in the future. |

Thats different, thats realistic, thats great! There are just two things the should add from CoD2: the great fire and smoke effect.

I bought Call of Duty 2 as my first title for XBox 360. I was genuinely excited about playing it. I loved the first game and was open minded. I played for the first time for around an hour and then felt that icky feeling one gets when they realize they've paid way too much for something they shouldn't have. I didn't understand exactly why when I first started feeling that way, but since I've dwelled on it and I now know why I found the experience so excruciating.
The constant over-the-top action was just draining. There was no attempt in the slightest at pacing the game in any way. Imagine a movie with 120 minutes of nothing but people kicking other people in the face, and then plays violin music when it wants to you feel a certain way. There is no emotional arc at all. The constant re-spawning of Germans in certain areas was just irritating. The never ending noise -- or as some would say "intensity"-- is just too much. I wonder if when testing the levels they were thinking... "Hmm, this area is really boring; all were doing is shooting people in the face when they spawn... I think I'll add some more explosions and gun-fire sounds. Yeah… that will make it just like every other level." It is also extremely irritating to have your screen constantly flashing red, as you are shot about 1020940 times in each map (talk about ruining suspension of disbelief). I've never felt so out of a battle with any game. It is a terrible feeling at the end of a level to feel like your victory was just handed over to you, add to that knowing that you should have been dead about 14 times by now and your victory tastes really bland. There were things that I definitely appreciated about the game, but my review of Call of Duty 2 isn’t on topic. What I’m getting at, is that the feeling of intensity seen in said game exists only in pure chaos and noise, it doesn’t deliver that intensity through actual game play. I’ve heard some refer to game play in BiA as “wash, rinse, and repeat”, If that is true I would have to say that the Call of Duty series is just “wash”. I deperately wanted to make my way to the American missions, but after forcing myself further and further through the game I just couldn't take it anymore. I really do feel that the two franchises are just too drastically different to compare. The only thing shared between the two is theme. Off Topic: I am enjoying the hell out of Condemned: Criminal Origins now though!

Yea, I think they can create certain situations with more intense battles, but they have to keep it historically acurate. If Gearbox recreates some battles of operation Market Garden, the fighting is going to have to be very intense. The more intense action you have, the longer you will be pinned down by your enemy. As result, the game is going to get a hell of a lot harder, and we will have to develop brilliant strategies to defeat our oponent.
*** I am looking to see Gearbox make thier Multiplayer more intense. Either they should double the number of players on each side, or they should allow each player to command two squads... I sold my old XBOX for the new 360, and man am I missing EIB! Call of Duty 2 has absolutely horrible online play... I have never seen anything so bad. THE WORST LAG I HAVE EVER SEEN! |
