Forgot to make a thread last night - cut me some slack, I was sleepy
![]() http://www.gearboxity.com/content/view/250/38/ I'm in-between running around right now. The Leipzig show is a lot bigger than I thought it'd be. Between the closed-door showings of BiA and Borderlands and the huge show floor, I had a really full day (and there's still more to do). I got to take a lot of photos of the general show area before they let the public in, and I'll be posting a bunch of those tonight. I also got to read the Game Informer article about Borderlands today - it's got a ton of great information about the game, and everyone should have the issue available soon! We're anxious to start talking more, but for now you'll have to get that article ![]() If you have any questions about the show or things in general, please fire away in this thread. I'm hoping to sit down with Randy and the other GBX folk here and do a Q&A session for you guys in the next few days! Last edited by ennui; August 22nd, 2007 at 12:01 PM. |

Expect another update later on today! It's the last day we're here, and we went to ferropolis, which was really, really cool. You may recognize something there from one of our screenshots - it was awesome to see these things up close and personal.
The show was a huge success for Gearbox. Hell's Highway continues to leave a great impression on the press (many of which had not had a chance to see the demo live before), and Brothers in Arms on the Wii is also getting a very positive response for its control scheme! Of course, Borderlands has got the press very excited - I heard several people saying it was the best thing they'd seen at the show as they were leaving, and that's a big deal with so much impressive stuff here. Well, expect a write-up and awesome pictures of huge machines later, along with a video of Randy that I still I have. I tried uploading it earlier but ran into connection issues on the show floor! |

The Ubidays demo of Hell's Highway was shown to the press behind closed doors (along with RtH30 on the Wii), many of whom hadn't seen it firsthand. As I understand, some new screenshots have been released by Ubi as well.

I think Randy had mentioned in another thread that some people might be disappointed by what was being shown for HH at Leipzig. Ubisoft just doesn't seem to be pushing the marketing for this game very much. Maybe they are saving all of their effort for right before the release of the game?

i guess i can understand why they might be holding off on showing HH at this moment, but the fact that boarderlands is getting more press than HH is a bit concerning... it feels like UBI has no confidence in HH, like its not going to be a good game or something. I mean theyre showing a game that isnt coming out for another 1-2 years, when they already have a AAA title game with less then half a year left in its development time!!! if this game is really coming out in 3 months the marketing should already be rolling. (ok they dont need to be as big as CoD4, but thye should have at least SOMETHING to show. WTF UBI??!!
