My question is how far should the devs go with the alien types for the game. This is a multiple choice poll, so you can choose more than one option. And I didn’t include the face hugger, chest burster or queen, because I am assuming everyone wants to see them.
Visit the Wiki here to see descriptions of some of the more unusual non-canon castes. My choice will be Hugger, Burster, Queen, Cameron’s Warrior, Giger’s older design and Juvenile. The ones I am not so sure on, but am open to, are the Dog, Bull and Praetorian. I am just wondering what some of your thoughts are. Especially on the Praetorian, I mean would you mind if that one actually became part of the canon in a future film? Also what about brand new alien types, never seen before?

Giger's alien and Carmeron's warriors are a must.
The warriors could be the backbone of the alien forces or younger xenomorphs, while Gigers design would be the more crafty enemies who stay in the shadows and stalk you while the warriors attack you directly. just a thought. the dog alien/runner have always been interesting and could be cool to see I've also always been fond of praetorians from the comics and games. Im not sure if they should be included in the movies, but in games and the rest of the EU they make interesting mini-bosses. also if they introduced a 'king' alien that was a man-made genetic freak (aliens: rogue) it could be cool. |

Agreed. Giger and Cameron's Aliens are a must. Praetorian is also acceptable since it has been used in the other games and makes sense being in the hive.
Dog aliens would also be a nice variation to throw in being as they are faster but more than likely weaker than the human born aliens. The other "Hybrids" however are sort of dumb. Flying aliens are right out because I would only be able to think of the bat gremlin from Gremlins 2 or that bad Flying queen toy they had when I was a kid. No giant queen facehuggers, no rhino, snake, mantis or android aliens. Variations are fine, but with more variations you have more work for the developers. I'd rather they stick with and secure the basics found in the movie canon. |

Just don't make me hate it by straying far from the first 2 films.

I voted everyone except empress and king. I allways thought that introducing huge creatures in this saga was very predictable and a very infantile reaction. giger's / Scott's Alien terror subject does not rely just on size / quantity. It goes faar beyond the superficial conception "bigger is better".
I feel its benefical as many characters as possible, to make the game more interesting and unpredictable, especially on multiplayer sessions. Each alien character type has unique abilities / weakness. But all of them together into single team make a unshakeable killing machine. As the counterpart human team, too. EDIT: i got an idea which may help to give such variety on alien spectrum: depending of the host, the alien embryo will adquire unique characteristics. So, the more possible 'hosts' the story offers (humans, diverse mammals, reptiles, other alien species, etc.), the better different potential warrior aliens will become. I think this is the key to the post subject. BTW, you forgot Alien Resurrection's newborn. I vote for this one too.

No no, I definitely did not forget that one. In fact I have been unable to get it out of my head since watching the film.

Seriously, ill never stop saying that an hybrid Human-Xenomorph DNA creature could make it on the game fear factor.
