I spent some time in the game folders and found the Subtitles.int under Localization folder. I noticed there were some dialogues that appeared here never shown in game, for example, at the beginning in the airport, Allen said "There's probably loads of Matthew's in England who want a gaudy silver pistol", after that Garnett said "Lemme see it", but in the subtitle file it indicated there were two more dialogues between them - Gernett:"Matthew's who fight werewolves." Allen:"That's silver bullets smarta**!" I wondered why these dialogues were removed, I thought they were great.

You mean these "missing" dialogue will show randomly? If so, I guess I should take a second look for them in the game.

I know i miss 2 things from the the trailers.
One is where Baker lies on his back in the hospital with Germans standing over him. In the trailer you'd hear him breathing in fear, i loved that. And the second thing that was in 1 of the trailers was Garnett or Allen charging a German with his knife and stab him in the throat. In the trailer you'd hear him scream in anger, and it sounded great! But in the game, he just quietly runs up to the German, and it doesnt half feel as great as in the trailer without the scream. It doesnt seem like he is in anger about his friend's loss without it. |

Yeah, it is very strange that many good features are removed for no obvious reason, at least not for technical problems as I can see.

It was consideration by the developers.
They didn't want the game to be too amazing.

It's a pity really, because some of the removed dialogue really gives depth to some of the characters and events in the story. Sink's comment to an off-screen 'Winters' and 'Easy' would also have been a welome nod to BoB.
I'm sure there are good reasons why they were cut, though. Timing/pacing issues, overly long cutscenes or the extra amount of animation seem likely. |

Man..it would have been nice to see the old BoB folks in there.

As I just pointed out in the General Discussion thread on the same topic, the audio files of the missing dialog are still packaged in with the game in the following directory:
*Game Directory*\SumacGame\CookedPC\Packages\Audio They are the .upk files with the SD_ prefix and can be extracted and listened to in .ogg format using one of the .upk extractors available for UT3. It's a shame they were taken out of the cutscenes, cos some of the stuff here is gold! |

A lot of it just comes down to editing. That particular scene went on a bit too long and the line reads didn't feel as natural as they could, so we made a little snip.
