On the topic of accuracy and guns, Randy Pitchford said in an interview that the length of the gun stock affects stability. Its weight affects how much the gun bounces while moving.

If we're going to speculate about the gun stats we might as well reach a consensus.

Feel free to copy this image and list your own opinions

Here's my own logical conclusion to what these images mean:
1: Manufacturer, Fairly obvious.
2: I've got not friggin' clue, How many bullets it comes with maybe?
3: Effect. Electricity, acid, fire, explosion ECT... Higher level the better. This one is lightning effect level 2.
4: Reload time, Lower the better.
5: Magazine capacity, higher the better.
6: Rate of fire, higher the better.
7: Accuracy, lower the better. Why lower? I'm guessing it's how small the group it makes is.
8: Damage, higher the better. The eight times thing that the shotguns damage alternated to is how many projectiles it fires. So 18x8 damage.

So far the only thing I'm not sure about is #2. :/

Wow Brigadier, great work.

I think you might be on the right track with #2. It could be the number of bullets currently in the gun's magazine.

I say this for two reasons. First, it looks like the number is right next to a bullet (OK, kind of obvious, I know.)

Second, looking at gun stats boxes, #2 seems to equal #5 (mag capacity) a lot. It would make sense that the number of bullets in the gun is often the magazine capacity.

Alright, now I'm not so sure about what I just said. In nearly every single gun shown in the E3 video, #5 is equal to or greater than #2. That would point to #2 being the number of bullets in the current magazine.

Except then this gun wouldn't make any sense.

Maybe its just total bullets?

Either that or max number of clips, but I really doubt that.

Wow. Nice work Brigadier.

I would say #2 is the number of rounds in a clip for THAT weapon, and #5 is the number of clips for that weapon TYPE you have. Didn't we determine that the only ammo differences are by weapon class? AR bullets, pistol bullets, rockets, etc.?

i was never sure about number two aswell. i also got # 1/ 2 mixed up the bullets in the clip seems reasonable.
want to have a easter egg hunt of the best fun in the EA video?

!!!if you keep clicking pause and unpause on the video then some of the numbers get mixed and it shows the number on the earlier veiwed guns i think that screen shot is just a mistake.

i think this is the same weapon but a second after i think this is the true stats of the weapon.

i watched the video from shacknews in hd. it's a lot easier on the eyes. anyway, number 5 seems to be how many bullets are in the clip. and maybe it stands for how many the clip can hold. all i know is that when he picked up and used a gun number 5 was consistent with how many bullets showed up in the bottom right of the hud. i have no idea what number 2 is, but i don't think it's how many bullets are in the weapon.

on the topic of weapons i think since certain weapons i think are more are or might be considered stronger then others that it is possible to find the same of one weapon.. if this paper i am writing on is correct then there was 3 tediore BLA's and two of them where the same in every way(stats) while the other one did not look the same nor have the same stats. i think during the demo there where only a limited amount of weapons but from what i remember reading i think they had 70000 or so weapons at the time. but still out of all those weapons its still pretty unlikely to find the same two weapons in a ten minute video.

Yeah, it could also just be nothing at this point. The game looks so complete in that video but we have to remember its really still in the midst of development. Maybe it's just a placeholder number.

Where's ennui when you need him?
