They misinterpreted the situation. Randy almost had to pull the plug after they switched the art style because of that change, but then he saw it in action and got all giddy.

I saw that too ThunderWank. Sounds like flummery to me. Randy being something other than completely enthused about anything?

Edit: What L3vi said is the case. Guy writing things is a hockey puck. Don't like his writing style either.

Oh that's what he meant. He quoted both those things so... But yeah, that's correct too.

No. That preview implies Randy Pitchford was close to pulling the plug on the entire game. I've never heard that before.

Pitchford did originally consider pulling the plug on the new graphical style though. He obviously changed his mind.

the way i thought it was was that the game was in development, randy was going to pull the plug for some reason. some artists secretly worked on the new style, showed him, and the game was back on.
