Phase strike - dissapointing

Tested it with shields and without shields. And no, there is no melee proficiency.

Talked to other 35 ish Liliths online today and they also agree phase strike kinda blows. A quarter of the enemies' health bar isn't decent at all considering I can tear the same enemy apart in about a second with my SMG.

Considering all weapons bypass shield with Trespass is a little much. As in one shot from a sniper rifle wins in PVP. As in if Brandon/Oroboro didn't have Trespass he would be even worse at this game.

I guess since we are going towards the 'go play' route, I'll tag along. Go back to WoW? (+5% epeen damage on this whole post)

i think ill still stick to phasewalking, cause not only are you doing damage but the the after effects, such as Phoenix, Radiance, Venom, and Dramatic entrance. So you may not kill them but you sure get the upper hand the in the fight.

Personally i would use PW just for venom.

uhm Phasewalk and venom have NOTHING in common for starters (I think you mean phasestrike)
#2, if +800% instant dmg is worthless, how good is +25% dmg on a DoT any good?

so... YAY you took your 150dmg hit to 150 dmg + 190 dmg (40 of it being DoT)

He also said that a couple seconds of SMG does as much dmg as phasestrike


IMO, Pump your SMG's, melee based lilith just doesn't seem to cut it IMO. If phasestrike was a 1hk, I could see it, but without that? You're looking at 2 fairly meager bonuses (1 +25% physical 1 +25% DoT)

They will actually do better out of phasewalk with a weapon with a blade attached better I would think.

I dunno, I wasn't very keen on a melee build in the first place, but I was going to try it. Now? It isn't in my list of builds to try. Phoenix actually sounds better LOL

@ronin0ni, well i was talking about a group effort, i mean if you put a dot on someone it would defenitly help wouldn it?

and if your attacking with a melee weapon in PW, wouldnt venom work?

But your right though if phase strike is worthless then whats the point, im still yet to get the game so i still need to try it out

Can anyone currently playing lilith post the damage done by the melee strike? I'm curious exactly how much damage it does, and head shots with the melee are guaranteed crits are they not? What kind of damage does a phase melee crit do?

I have not been able to get a critical strike by meleeing during phasewalk, but I have gotten criticals with melees outside of phasewalk. I'm still guna go down the phasestrike route, just to test it out for myself. The developers supposedly read stuff on the forums alot, so hopefully they'll buff phasestrike's damage in an update if it's truely underpowered..

Right now I think phaseblast as a whole could use a buff. I'm level 17 and anything above level 16 doesn't get hurt very much from phaseblast. It's really only effective against enemies 3 or more levels below mine.

The assassination tree is named the assassination tree for a reason. But if phasestrike can't do a significant amount of damage (at the very least 3/4th of enemies health consistently) to enemies of equal level, then I'm afraid it will be one of those skills that everyone ignores. I'll wait and see for myself how useful it is, but I worry it will need a buff.

So a weapon that gave +25% of 50 would end up doing 12.5? No, the gun says +150% as in 50 + 150% of 50

We've been doing some investigation into Phase Strike, and it does not appear to be working as intended.

We're looking into exactly what's happening here.
