One quick change that hasn't been listed in the OTHER suggestion threads that I don't feel like going all the way back to

It seems as if you go to buy, say ammo, and click to buy it, you can't hit enter to confirm it. You have to mouse over so THEN you can hit enter and confirm it, at which point you might as well click. So now I just mouse over and enter-enter. But it's still a pain.

Sharing of AMMo when one person loots it when there are multiple players.

More graphic options on the PC version (Vsync, AA, FOV)

Options to turn of the microphone on PC version within the game along with a way to test if the microphone is working (like a meter in the setup menu) and possible volume\gain control. Microphone mute toggle would be nice as well.

Toggle for crouching on PC version.

Scalable UI for PC version along with Menus.

Improve UI more for mouse on PC version.

Default Re: Your Suggestions

As a guy who got the game 4 days early, I was 50 by Tuesday and striving for things to do. Running around completing missions and messing around shooting cool guns I found, but what I really need is something to do with all these great guns! Something fun, and competitive.

My two major suggestions that seem like the most realistic options are:

1. Wave based and Leaderboard Ranked games. This could be done with your upcoming Zombie Island DLC surely, and it would provide a great reason to spend more and more time looking for fun guns to dispatch zombies with, and better shields etc for progressing further. Overall, it would add quite a bit of replay value to the game and an incentive that would make me surely purchase the DLC.

2. I know it's a big stretch, especially after the development is "done", but matchmaking outside of 2v2 arena matches where I have to join a game and convince 3 other people to is also something I'd love to see. I would thrive on a competitive matchmaking system for the game, and it would definately get me playing it non stop. Even if it was only 2v2 or 3v3 with only Deathmatch as an option, maybe Capture the Flag also would add tons of replay value.

Other than the lacking end game, Excellent job on a well made game Gearbox. It's what I've been waiting for and I'm sure that you'll make some great changes in the near future.

(Opinion on the Xbox 360 version.)

Here are a few, perhaps for DLC or whatever:

- Add a tab in the respec / fast travel menu to access a storage or bank area, with a few shared slots

- An simple trade interface allowing secure trades of items / money

- A loot option for guns, e.g. round robin customizable for items of a certain color and beyond (I.e. round robin for blues and beyond)

- Smooth out driving a bit

- Gamling NPC that sells crazy expensive mysterious items (scaled to your level of course). The bonus is only shown once purchased. Could be good, could be bad.

- When a quest is selected, have some way of showing a notification in fast travel to know where the quest is or turn-in is (most are obvious but some aren't)

- [CONSOLES] A mini-map option

- [CONSOLES] An option to disable holding X (or whatever PS3 button) to swap weapon on floor to weapon held

Default Re: Your Suggestions

I have another thread with these posted already, but since this is official and my thread got crushed in the wave of locked topic spam, and is now quite a ways down from the top, I'll repost my suggestions here with some edits and additions.

A) Cross-character, profile specific, storage system - probably quick and easy to create and insert into the New-U interface. Essentially making what people already do in these types of games more interface friendly, not really providing a new feature per se.

B) Trade UI/Interface - might be more complicated, but a non-intrusive way to open up a trade window with another player really couldn't hurt. Maybe even a way to open up, for viewing purposes only, a paperdoll of another player on your team to look at their talent build/gear, in addition to a trade window. Would make trying to decide who gets what a lot easier and quicker instead of what is currently done, even among friends (in my group, if there is ever any question we find it easiest to unequip and drop our **** for comparative viewing, which seems a bit clunky)

C) Class Mod interface clarification/tweaks - Class mods are great, but what would be even greater is if I could definitively tell whether or not I am getting the desired effect (and how much effect I'm getting) with every skill on every class mod that I equip. As it is, some obviously go past 5/5, some don't seem to, and generally it seems really clunky to try and figure out how exactly the mods work. I went through about half the game with skill bonuses that I had no idea weren't working, and I know plenty of others who had a similar experience. Even something as simple as making the talent window display +1 (or whatever) in a different color next to any skill successfully receiving a mod would be huge.

D) Display of total player bonuses - Another seemingly easy to implement feature. It would be really nice to have a panel that showed a cumulative total of all bonuses from talents, shield, whatever bonuses are working from your class mod, and all bonuses and damage off of your currently selected weapon, all at once, all on one sheet. This would allow the simple pleasure of knowing just how amazing our characters are, in addition to easing the understand of exactly how our bonuses work together to allow for better gear decision making. For example, this type of sheet would let us know when we have "enough" elemental effect chance and seriously don't need any more.

E) More consistent drops - In a game based so heavily on random drops, there seems to be some massively more favored drops compared to some others. For example, most by a large margin of the blue/purple drops I see are grenade mods. I rarely, rarely see an epic shield. I have NEVER seen an epic transfusion grenade. Some of this can be chalked up to me having a limited experience (I'm just one person) - IE, most of the legendary guns I've gotten are pistols. But I've talked to a bunch of people who report similar tendencies when it comes to grenade mods and shields. Clearing a zone and coming out with dozens of purple grenade mods per one purple weapon, and not seeing one epic shield of any kind, is kinda strange. If it's intended, fine. If it isn't patch some better epic shield drop rates and worse epic grenade mod drop rates in.

F) If the level cap is raised, then more talents need to be added - This is a simple request. I don't care if we get more talents, or more levels. But if one, then the other. The reasons for this are obvious, since more levels would be meaningless without more talent points, but without more talents to spend those points on, we would run into a serious lack of variety and choice.

G) Stats - People love statistics. People especially love statistics in games like this, which essentially boil down to "bigger numbers." Beyond that, this game already tracks tons of stats (at least on the 360) and randomly displays one on your friends list when they are playing. So, give us a stat page so I can see how many guns I've found, how many enemies I've killed, and how much money I've earned - whenever I want. Along with other useless but interesting stuff like how far I've walked and drove, how many hours I've wasted, and what my favorite manufacturer is(If anyone is wondering, MOST of you prefer tediore, at least if my friends list is anything like an accurate sampling).

Additionally, a retool of boss mechanics and overall campaign difficulty would be great.

Essentially as it stands right now, compared to, say, Diablo 2 - we really have nothing to do after we hit 50. There is no new, harder, content for a maximum level character. No real reason to pursue loot. Another problem is the way loot is presented. Looting chests, and actually finding decent stuff, is great. Killing bosses over and over again and never getting anything of note isn't great.

DLC really needs to provide some high-level content, probably at least some content that's too difficult for the solo player, that would be worthy of running multiple times with friends for "even better loot"

This isn't asking for multiple-tiered raid instances, or anything of the like. That might or might not be too much to ask, really. But all we really need, in my opinion, is new max-level content with strong bosses who randomly drop tons of better than currently found in chests loot. We don't need raiding progression, or complicated boss fights that require strategy or positioning, just tough bosses that have tons of health, hit really hard, and drop really cool stuff that are designed to be taken out with at least 2 normally geared level 50s.

Glad to see Gearbox is listening!
I know this has come up before, and I'm sure it will continue to come up.
We want storage. A chest, safehouse or some other kind of receptacle where the loot hoarders can pile up all the awesome stuff that we would like to keep, but not necessarily have in our backpack all the time. It pains me when I am rolling with the same shotgun for 6 levels and then I find a new, better one and have to sell my trusty electric death shotty or worse, leave it lying out in the desert. Call me sentimental, but I want to take him home, can I keep him?

Thanks ennui for making this thread, and I hope you forward it's general message to the devs.

Firstly, I completely agree with Elvisman2010's suggestions.

Us PC users like to tweak. We want all options available to us, so we can get the best experience on our machine Being unable to toggle Vsync was a huge oversight, lots of people game at high-res nowadays, and vsync is necessary, as is FOV.

PTT or something other than always on microphone would be welcome. Give us the option to turn it off, change the voice threshold more, which button to press, etc.
Toggles for crouching and aiming would be nice, I don't want to hold down a myriad of buttons all over my keyboard. Controller? Fine. Keyboard and mouse? No.

The UI, please let us scroll with scroll wheels and actually click on things instead of having to press buttons, 'nuff said.

Using an example of a similar release, Unreal Tournament 3 launched with a very 'consolified' (terrible mash of words there) interface. This was cleaned up with the hefty but incredibly welcome 'Black Edition'. We want something similar for Borderlands, let's be honest and open here, we were promised a game designed for the PC from the ground up in multiple interviews, and the game was delayed for 'optimization'. Instead of getting our admittedly only slightly late game, improved and bolstered by a week of polish, we found it riddled with traces of console development, with no new features or tweaks, and we were saddened by it.

To the devs, if you're getting annoyed by everyone decrying your game, just remember, Epic did this exact same thing to long-time Unreal Tournament fans, and they managed to rebound, and so can you. Purge the console traces for the PC version and reap the rewards of a happier userbase.

Oh, and for the love of all that is holy, please ditch Gamespy, I don't care if you make it peer to peer, your own servers, no matter how laggy, or even something else again, just PLEASE, get shot of Gamespy, it's causing nothing but grief to the players. We can't join, we can't play, we can't ENJOY your game the way it was meant to be played, with friends.

1) Scalable UI for PC
2) More graphic options (VSync, Fov, AA)
3) More mic options (Test microphone, disable microphone, push key to talk)
4) GUI more PC friendly (Don't have to keep using keyboard, click to do stuff, scroll wheel to scroll, etc..)
5) More keyboard options (Toggle ADS, toggle crouch, etc..)
6) Make the driving easier (Use WASD rather than w and s with mouse, maybe have an option to choose which method you want to use to drive?)
