I'm living in Germany. I bought the UK version of Borderlands and was very very happy when "Zombie Island" was announced. So I splurged 800 MSP on the content, downloaded the stuff from the german marketplace and when I selected the fast travel station to beam over to Jacobs Cove, I'm unceremoniously booted back to the main menu, with a message telleing me that I have either an incompatible game version or the host is using DLC that I don't own.
WTF? No word of any possible incompatibility issues in the dash text. MS customer support told me to complain here. |

I have the same problem and I am really pissed. I can understand if they aren't compatible, but at least announce it on the dashboard before I buy the DLC.

Is this another of those publisher hosed Gearbox issues? I'm really starting to feel badly for GBX and the customers because of the issues the middle men seem to cause...

Thanks alot for opening the thread, so I won't run into this when I get home later.
Shouldn't there be a way to obtain the correct version of the DLC? I bought the game during travel in Austria and will definitely not buy it again here in Germany to be able to play the DLC. If that's the only solution, Borderlands just died for me at this point. |

Hi,
got the same Problem baought the game in Austria and the dlc from the German XBOX live marketplace. Heard that the DLC is region locked. That sucks. And I hope Gearbox will fix it. We are innocent for the german violent politics. Only thing we want to do is plaxing that game and now that sh!*. Hope Gearbox will post an official response and fix the problem. |

We are aware of this issue and are working now to see what can be done for a fix. We, Gearbox, cannot control this particular issue. Microsoft has been a good partner to work with and we're hoping we can find a solution that works for all customers. Right now we do not know what action needs to be taken or when it can be accomplished.
Gearbox is a company of gamers and we completely understand your frustration. Bear with us while we navigate the complex world of politics, technology and fun games. It's a rather difficult path at times.
