Am I missing something or is there still no 1.1.0 patch for Direct2Drive users?
One of the 3 friends I'm playing Co-Op with bought the game via Direct2Drive and now can no longer play with us because he's still on 1.0.1. What a pain in the rear end. Any ETA on this? I emailed D2D support a few days ago, but they haven't responded. |

Well, 1.1.0 actually does add Securom Internet Edition protection to BL - Retail and Steam Versions; even if it lays dormant until you activate Zombie Island DLC.
No clue if D2D wants this addition to be added to their version of the game... |

People who bought through a Metaboli based Distributor, which includes the 2-K store, are in the same situation.
The only patch avail is 1.01 and the DLC are not available. You'd think they'd have the latest patches and DLC avail for their publisher. It seems that if you didn't buy retail or through Steam you're being shafted. |

I am in the same boat. I really am out of luck playing this game at all until this is fixed for D2D. I have heard D2D has been really bad for patches in the past. If I knew this I wouldn't have bought from them. I don't think I will buy from them again either.

Hi all,
this is so bad. I purchased this game just for multiplayer purpose, to play with friends. D2D didn't provide yet the 1.1 patch instead of Steam. Logically, this is the same version so I just don't get it. Anyway, I will stop buying games this way cause it is a total failure. D2D has just lost a customer. Time for Gearbox now : could you release this damn patch then? After all, you are the provider. Steam has it. I want it! What about a release on your website? It is incredible! Being legit doesn't pay guyz. I paid for this game and I cannot play it!!!! Did you know that the Reloaded version is playable on the net. They even release the 1.1 patch. So Gearbox, the ball is in your court. Do something damnit! Last edited by Jokarus; December 14th, 2009 at 10:31 AM. |

Most D2D games come w/ SecuROM as their DRM. D2D has no issues/policies regarding what DRM the publisher decides on - so it wouldn't be the SecuROM holding up the D2D deployment of the patch/DLC.

2K got the release of the DLC on Retail / Steam withhin the same time window. Where is the problem for D2D / IGN?
Valve / Steam and D2D got his own system to verify his stuff within a activation server. Their is no excuse to release all the same stuff in the same time window (exclusive timezones). Come on .. the Dragon Age patch via D2D was released asap. Quote:
Oh found this excuse .. "The DLC will be available as soon as it passes QA testing." Linky

One of the conversations I had with a rep at D2D enlightened me to the fact that it is the publisher who choses, D2D goes with their choice. |

I received the same "We'll have it soon" response from D2D when I emailed them.
At least it's coming. I was concerned that they weren't going to provide it at all. |

Well, well, well, 1.1 is finally available on D2D.
I guess this topic helped... However, I won't change my mind about leaving D2D. I will stick to retail copies now. |
