You guys probably already know about this, but I don’t see a topic so…
The Pacific…it’s Hanks and Spielberg’s, follow up to Band of Brothers. Anyone else looking forward to this? http://uk.tv.ign.com/dor/objects/142...rl_062609.html Also do you guys think BIA will ever go to the Pacific?

There is a topic somewhere in the archives on this, but it doesn't hurt to bring it up again. Where as you're question of BIA ever going to the Pacific might get generally poo poo'd around here, I for one would love to see what GBX could do with that setting. I'm one of the few that actually liked MOH's Pacific Assault, and always hoped for a sequal. CODWAW just didn't do it for me the same way.

I'm really looking forward to it. I've watched Band of Brothers 1543687874 times now, it's about time for something new with the same quality.
As long as they finished the story of Baker, I wouldn't mind them going Pacific. But would the BiA formula work there? I doubt it. |

I don't see why it wouldn't. They had to suppress and flank there as well. We already have bazooka's in BIA, the only other heavy duty weapon they would need to make is the flame thrower. I could see some interesting possibilities with the underground tunnel systems the Japanese had.

I forgot to post the IGN preview.
http://uk.tv.ign.com/articles/106/1063599p1.html Doh! ![]() Quote:
Just so you guys know, I wasn’t implying BIA4 should go to the pacific in the next instalment, but maybe somewhere down the line with a different bunch of characters. Other than CoD:Waw I haven’t really seen how the Japanese fought, and honestly it didn’t seem like there was a great deal of things based on reality in that game, so I probably still don’t know. I personally want to see Bastogne, that looked like an awful place to be. The fact they had such limited supplies and they still fought on I think would be great to see in game. The lack of munitions and medical supplies, I think that aspect could really be interesting if implemented into gameplay.

Well, you know BOB inspired Randy to create BIA. Just maybe Pacific will inspire him the same way!

Is this gonna be on a pay channel, like HBO?? I think I read that somewhere. If so, I'll be waiting for the release on DVD.
