Most of it was in my first play through on my Hunter.
1. Moe and Marley (first PT on my Hunter) 2. Mad Mel (I have never killed him without dying) 3. Mothrakk (takes too long to kill) The rest was pretty normal and straightforward for my Hunter and Siren |

I had trouble at those same spots during my first time through. They get much easier to deal with when you've played through the game a few times.

Actually i was fortunate enough to find a cute little explosive revolver before i got the Mothrakk quest and realized he was taking much more damage from that. We got him down in no-time what so ever.
Moe and Marley where a pain though, think we skipped them even because we ran out of bullets twice (!) Mad Mel first time was a pain, in our rush we didn't get close enough to the New-U pole and ended up having to ride the entire way from Lucky's. It was on the way to there we decided to simply nuke from the ramp instead of driving around in a gimpy deathtrap buggy ![]() Also the first arena kicked our ass pretty hard the first time, but that was mostly due to the level differance. Fun though! |

Definitely Moe & Marley. The complimenting elemental types of them make for a rough battle if you are an inexperienced player and haven't fully grasped the concept of elements. God forbid you attempt this quest alone, not only should you have multiple elemental weapons but the sheer abundance of extra Skags makes for a very challenging battlefield.
As for Mad Mel, just jump on the rock to the right where you get into the arena and no projectiles can hit you, while you can shoot out. Just watch out for psychos that run up on you and try to melee. Mothrakk is annoying considering it takes a little bit of time to take down and his attacks are rather difficult to dodge, but I wouldn't consider this battle hard.

On my first playthrough, Moe and Marley weren't a big deal.
But, somehow, on my 2nd playthrough I managed to rile them both at the same time, stir up a bandit camp, and piss off all the local skags. That fight was EPIC! The battle finally ended with me killing Marley outside Sledge's Safehouse. I hate Mad Mel. I always die there. And I shot every bullet I had at Mothrakk my 1st playthrough, and she still wouldn't die. I had to get on the intarweb and do a search to see if I was doing something wrong. That's probably how I found this forum. |

Moe and Marley for me as well. It took my friend and I about 10-15 minutes to kill both of them. We eventually decided we have to be patient and pick our shots, instead of going all out like we wanted to do. I also found the first run through of Old Haven to be quite the challenge.

Of course, now I've played it so many times I know where everybody spawns so I'm expected them there... A little less fun, but still fun. I enjoy their screams of pain and agony when I get a little acid on 'em.

for me, moe and marley never really was a problem, the only setback i had were two moments:
1. When i marched into the dig site to meet tannis i meet a badass fireant soldier 2.when liberated jaynistown into taylortown, then the second procees of killing taylor gave me alot of problems with rocketlaunchers and turretguns :3

Being a single player against the guardian earlier in 1st playthrough at lvl36 with only a 66 damage 81 clip machine gun and a 38 hellfire, coupled with 9 corrosive grenades.
That was a fight, but Mordecai held his ground and ran when needed to better locations while the world around him tried to take him out. 25 minutes of pure hell on Pandora. Never pick a fight underpowered. |
