Default Am I TOO high of a level?

Hey guys. Loving these Forums. Anyway, Ive been wondering about my level. I'm currently level 34 and I think i'm too high of a level for the quests im currently doing.. All my quests are about 28-29 and it seems that I have some how over-leveled for my location? I do every side quests, simply because I want the max enjoyment from this game so I try to make it as long as I can. But i'm concerned, should I slow down? Should I skip side quests?

I just got my third vault key from the Hive Nest monster... So I don't know where I should be

Last question: When should I buy the DLC? I'm going to buy it, its just I don't know when... just because of the the fact that its all side quests and I don't want to over level and be level 45 and still not even be close to the vault yet..

I'm a fool, that's confused, Help please

You are a bit overleveled, but it's not a huge deal. (unless you want a challenge)

And you can get the DLC whenever. The enemies scale to the level of the story quest you are on at the time so if you want a challenge i suggest waiting until the story levels catch up to you.

DLC levels to you I believe. Most of the quests were below my level for most of the game. It is unavoidable, if you do all sidequests you will level faster than the quests do. What I did was beat PT 1, then did only the main quest missions in PT 2. That way, when I was done with PT 2 and on PT 2.5 I still had a lot of sidequests left that leveled to me, also better for getting leveled scavenger quest rewards.

Ah, I knew I wasn't being paranoid

This is very interesting and the idea of using those for p2 is a great idea. Thanks guys.

By the way, when did you get your dlc? Level wise of course.

No, please don't try what i said. It will cause you suffering and pain beyond you'r belief. At 46 i got one-shotted by his boomstick. It was horrible.

And i got the DLCs at 50 because i was already there when they came out.

I'm lucky... I finished half of Playthrough 2 3 levels under every mission. It's a bit tough to kill a 47 Taylor Kobb with a 44 Siren, but my trusty Malevolent Stinger rules his face

Well more than anything I would LOVE a challenge. I do not like just putting a few bullets in a boss and he dies. I want it to be more strategic and difficult.

When do you suggest I should buy the DLC? Now? or after I finish playthrough 1? Thanks

I recommend doing this too.

With all the characters I've played, I ended up finishing PT1 at level 36-37, so if you're leveling at the same rate I did, you should be pretty close to the end.

Blaze through PT2 doing only the story missions, and it WILL get challenging towards the end. I did the whole thing co-op splitscreen, so I can't say how hard it will be for you solo. Perhaps too hard? I'm not sure.

Then when you're done PT2 you should be in your mid 40s, and ready to go back to PT2.5, where everything will be 48-51, and nice and challenging.

I played with my Lv 40 friends in his playhtrough 2... starting off at a level 1. lol..

now at lv 36.. my 26-28 missions on MY character is pretty easy. but still fun.

Hopefully i can get to part 2 soon though.. so i can get some competition.

i have too many awesome guns, etc now... nothing in my story is wanted.
